FAQ
Can I extend the session on the day of?
I typically schedule my portrait sessions with a little buffer time in between in the event of a late arrival or fussy child, etc. If you would like to extend your session for any reason, please let me know as soon as possible and I will try to accommodate your request based on that day's schedule and available lighting and weather.
What kind of gear do you use?
My current gear for portrait sessions includes a Canon R6 Mark II camera with multiple high-end lenses in both wide and zoom ranges to provide the highest quality photos and to cover multiple types of shots. I always have plenty of extra memory cards and batteries- prepared for any failures or unforeseen circumstances!
Do I have to order prints through you?
You are certainly welcome to order prints through me. The gallery that is included in all of my wedding packages includes an option to order prints directly from there. They are professional quality prints which I highly recommend. I do provide full print rights to you, so you are welcome to use your favorite print options if you please!
What happens in the event of bad weather or sickness?
Unfortunately unforeseen circumstances do arise. We are all human and I totally get stuff happens. Since I require a deposit to book all sessions, those deposits are non-refundable as that secures that slot, and prevents me from booking another. In the event that sickness or bad weather occurs, we can certainly use your deposit to reschedule your slot for anytime in the future!
If I have to cancel our session for any reason (which I will only do in the event of sickness or emergency)- I will offer a choice of reschedule or refund of the deposit.
What is the best time of day to schedule our photos?
The best lighting happens during "golden hour" or an hour before sunset that day. This typically provides a nice warm glow to your photos, and beautiful highlights/shadows. It is my favorite time. That being said- some days we may plan for perfect lighting, and end up with a cloudy day. That is totally fine! I am trained to work with all different lighting scenarios, and will still be able to create beautiful images no matter the lighting.
