This is the beginning of their life story...
Newborn sessions are some of my favorite memories to capture. Their tiny, sleepy, posable little bodies are just the best. The best time to capture this stage is within the first 4 weeks after birth to make sure they are sill willing to be moved, swaddled, and sleepy! I have an ever growing collection of baskets, backdrops, wraps, props, headbands and anything else needed. You only need to bring your sweet little bundle, and any feeding/diapering accessories!
The best part- these sessions happen right inside YOUR home, so you get to stay in your comfortable environment! No taking baby out and dealing with the stress of traveling, feed timing, etc. The only thing I need is some floor space in any room with an outlet for my light! I design all of your setups based on your preferences. My setups are typically not repeated- I use different textures, layers, wraps, accessories and props for each session to make each session unique. I can repeat specific setups upon request though, so if you see one I've used that you love- feel free to ask for it! All of the props, wraps, and accessories, as well as my studio light and floor mats and backdrops travel to you!
These sessions take time! Babies are teeny, tiny little dictators...and we must work on their schedules. Haha!...but really. Mini wrapped sessions typically take about 1- 1.5 hours. Full newborn sessions which may include unwrapped, or more posed shots are typically about 2-2.5 hours. This allots plenty of time to feed, change, soothe, wrap and settle them into each setting. Some babies sleep through the whole session...others...not so much. Prepare yourself for either scenario. I will do my absolute best to make sure we get a bunch of cute little poses in different setups, but sometimes...we'll have less then ideal conditions. I wish that I could guarantee a set number of setups we will get during our time...but sometimes due to gassy tummies, awake little eyes, restlessness, etc...we may only get a limited number of photos. No matter what...I'll do whatever I can to ensure you have photos of your sweet little love that you will treasure forever!
Full Session

FAQ
What if my baby is too fussy?
Fussy, gassy, over-stimulated babies do happen from time to time. I am super patient, and make sure to give baby as much feeding, changing, and snuggle with parents time as needed, but sometimes they're still not thrilled. Babies run the show, and I will never force a baby to do something they don't want to do. The most stressful thing for parents is watching their baby cry. Your baby's health and safety is my #1 priority, and if baby is miserable, I will not continue the session. If baby for any reason is "done", and I feel like we haven't gotten a full session's worth of photos, we can discuss reschedule options. I never want you to spend money and not have at least a few beautiful images.
What kind of gear do you use?
My current gear for portrait sessions includes a Canon R6 Mark II camera with a wide angle/macro that allows me to capture all the sweet details. I also have a large umbrella and studio light to provide lighting in any type of room. I always have plenty of extra memory cards and batteries- prepared for any failures or unforeseen circumstances!
Do I have to order prints through you?
You are certainly welcome to order prints through me. The gallery that is included in all of my wedding packages includes an option to order prints directly from there. They are professional quality prints which I highly recommend. I do provide full print rights to you, so you are welcome to use your favorite print options if you please!
What happens in the event of bad weather or sickness?
Unfortunately unforeseen circumstances do arise. We are all human and I totally get stuff happens. Since I require a deposit to book all sessions, those deposits are non-refundable as that secures that slot, and prevents me from booking another. In the event that sickness or bad weather occurs, we can certainly reschedule your slot for anytime in the future!
If I have to cancel our session for any reason (which I will only do in the event of sickness or emergency)- I will offer a choice of reschedule or refund of the deposit.
